The U.S Department of Transportation requires that supervisors who supervise employees in regulated safety-sensitive positions, be trained in workplace substance abuse. DOT training and DOT supervisor training generally addresses substances of abuse. Rarely does training include education for DOT supervisors in the the myths and misconceptions about drug and alcohol abuse. We cover it all. With training, denial of supervisors is broken and complacency, biases, and misunderstandings about alcohol abuse, alcoholism, drug abuse, drug addiction are all addressed. This program not only meets the DOT compliance standard but motivates supervisors to act and reduce risk to the organization. The program consists of two hours of material, as required, in substance abuse awareness. One hour and 28 minutes of this is audio-visual.
