EXERCISE
A proven technique to manage the stress of mounting work-life difficulties is what Dr. Herbert Benson calls "the relaxation response":

  • Repeat an affirming word, sound or phrase.
  • Ignore any thoughts that enter your mind so that you can engage in concentrated repetition of your word/sound/phrase.

Spend 10 to 20 minutes doing this while seated comfortably in a quiet area with your eyes closed. Breathe slowly and evenly and relax all your muscles.
